Auchentoshan Distillery in Glasgow

This sweet distillery is tucked in the folds of a stream and low rising hill, nestled there for what feels like forever, actually founded in 1823.
Operating regular tours, as well as private ones (for 3 or more) you can view the behind the scenes of this influential whisky at any time of the year. Obviously in winter the production is ceased, but actually afford you further detail to see areas that are closed for Health and Safety during the daily production times.
There is a cute little merchandise store, a lengthy in depth tour, cleverly crafted to have stop off tasting points along the way, so that by the time you see the storage warehouse (in our case at 0 degrees in the snow) you’re quite merry.
Then it’s time to enter the bar. Beautiful bottles line the walls, and each is available for tasting and discussion.
Great tour guides that wont b/s you, but will go and find out any minute detail they can”t recall) personable and knowledgeable.
Great tour to do.
