Rosslyn Chapel in Edinburgh

EdinburghArts & EntertainmentLandmarks

This is a lovely example of architecture and stone masonry dating from 1446.
Currently undergoing renovations (I think are due to finish around April, after more than 8 years) I thought I would be disappointed, instead the scaffolding around the exterior is open the public for a birds eye view of the stained glass windows, exterior carvings and the amazing view of the nearby valley. Exquisite snow covered views are on offer- but be warned it is so cold inside that you can see your breath! God bless the pious!Only a short bus ride from the centre of town (take the number 15) and cheep entry make this a must on a trip to Scotland.
