South Bank in London

LondonArts & EntertainmentLandmarks

An easy choice for a Londoner or a newbie in the summer. You can take a walk the whole way along the promenade, see buskers, stop in lunch spots and cafes, have a beer, buy books, music etc…
Come winter things take a nose dive. It’s harder to be inspired to walk along an exposed section onthe Thames in the blistering cold, but it is a nice walk to do if you plan it with stops on the way. For example Tate modern to outdoors to beer at Youngs, to outdoors to movie at BFI to outdoors to dinner at Ping pong.
perfect for spotting some of the major tourist sights without taking any of those pictures of Big Ben and you at such an angle that all you really notice is that the camera is tipped up your nose.
