Ness Scotland in Edinburgh

Ness is a much cooler alternative to all the tartan the tourist snatch up during ‘nannagedon’ at festival time. Let’s face it, you can search for a tenuous link to your family’s name to find their tartan and then pay through the nose for it, or you can come to a beautiful store like this and get something you want to wear after you leave the city.
Less of the red heavy traditional stuff here, more pastels, pink, pale blues, the sort of tartan brought back into fashion because it is pleasing on the eye.
Definitely worth a visit to escape the kilt purchase you know your sister doesn’t really want.
