Shakespeare’s Globe in London

There are plenty of good reviews available for this fantastic site so I’ll keep mine straight forward.
Booking advance if you want to see a show at a popular time, otherwise you can get tickets the morning of, so if you are about on a week day and have the time you can bag yourself some tickets that would otherwise be sold out.
Standing is well worth it! You are amongst the actors in parts, and also right near the action. I think if you are going open air, in a replica of something traditional then you should stand around the stage and take in the atmosphere (note: if you can’t stand for an hour or two then cave and get a cushion and a bench seat).
As it is exposed you should enjoy this experience so much more in summer (midnight shows are especially fun) but if you come to visit in the colder months do rug up properly!
