Aladin

I must admit to being a bit of a Brick Lane avoider. The hassle of being hassled is ok, but my friends generally don’t handle it too well and I find myself defending the crew!
So I looked at the reviews and gently herded my friends to Aladin.
To be honest we had a similar experience. The wait staff were full of smiles teemed with tediously haphazard slow service. As we were prepared for that, it was fine, but I think they would do a better trade if they got that part under control.
The food itself was fresh and spicy. They made an awesome soft naan bread, great poppadoms with four dips, and a really powerful and flavoursome vegetable curry.
As far as the craziness of the infamous Lane is concerned I think we found a gem in a potential diamond mine.
