The Travel Bookshop in London

This poky little bookshop has all the right romantic nuances for a niche travel store. Creaky floorboards, some natural light, loads of travel books that are first person narrative driven and the ubiquitous claim to fame- in this case the “Hugh/ Julia/ England is oh so quaint” one.
However the bones of it are thus: A good selection, well organised, knowledgeable staff with ample time to page surf and ponder allowed. The selection is diverse enough to cover most needs, after all you can grab an in depth personal account of teaching in Iran, or land a coffee table picture book of the world as seen from the sky.
Really worth pushing past the tourists sitting posing for pictures on the front seat!
